| The owners loved many of old fashioned features of this early 20th house including the multiple gable roof forms, the intimacy of the screened porch and the natural light in their sunroom, but the kitchen was small and cramped. To leave the house, they had to descend many exterior stairs to a dilapidated detached garage that was separated from the house by a large concrete slab patio. The addition and alterations included changing the dining room and kitchen to a master bedroom suite. A couple of stairs leads to the new family room, dining area and kitchen connected to the new garage through a mud room and utility area new garage. A new porch entry accentuates the rhythmic qualities of the roof forms present on the original house. |
