With the addition of a first floor master bedroom suite and the renovation of the entire house that features a studio converted to a library, the Owners of this 1930’s Cape style house wanted to preserve the cozy feeling of a country house and the inventive qualities of the house built by an artist. The size of the master bedroom suite and the roof lines accentuate the rhythm of the multiple gable roofs of the existing building. The bedroom addition and altered living room and kitchen overlook the beautifully landscaped yard. I designed an abstract bronze sculpture which was fabricated by Cape Cod Fabrications of Falmouth, MA for the center of the formal garden.
